Static Night Rocked

I am laughing as I write this because Static group night was simply fun as heck this week.

My fighter has been out of commission for the last month, and my cleric has had work emergencies to handle, so we had kinda just been the three musketeers running favor and such for a few weeks on and off, sometimes our cleric ran late and popped in to try and save us, but overall we haven't been able to sink our teeth into a meaty quest.

This week my fighter was still AFK (and if he still is next week he is in trouble!) I did however have a surprise. Steiner Davidson asked if he could come try my group out! I was so pumped to have someone to add to the team for the week, plus he is a nice guy and a member of ddocast so I know he is ok to come play with my friends :)

So before my new recruit showed up, the three of us that were online already were talking about quests. There are three we always throw out that we don't want to to ... The dragon raid (yes we are ready for it and we are going to attempt it next week), BAM ( i hate that quest) and the pit...

And *drumroll* Hellmy my naked dancing dwarf said he wanted to do the pit... I was in shock... I never expect them to say ok to it...

So I had talked Steiner Davidson into logging on and I was secretly laughing because he was going to have to come run the pit with us LOL

We did awesome. The Pit is one of those quests you either love or you hate. I have hated it. Passionately. The map is screwy in there and of little help, the running around and being lost while force traps are going off makes me crazy, the twitch jumping drives me bananas...

But we did it with much laughing... I actually managed to do a decent job at jumping on all the pipes and even got to one of the top switches in the furnaces :)

I found the Pit fun. I know I know. I never thought I would say it, but I had a blast. Maybe it was because i was running it with friends. Maybe it was because my static group runs a quest slowly anyways, so it gives me a chance to not feel totally inept when I fall off the pipes and the group has to wait on me...

But whatever the reason, we completed it in a couple of hours and we had a ton of fun and giggles and not too much frustration getting it done.

We killed the big slime, but the blasted thing wasn't feeling generous so no muckdooms for us :( I did get a screenshot though of all of us down there with the completed checkmark... I know the pic is dark (dang it I should have remembered to turn my gamma up) but here it is... TNT rocks...

In other news...

I did a podcast this weekend for the first time since Gencon. It felt good to get back in the grove and back to doing the show. I love it and have missed it alot. SO I look forward to doing another segment this weekend and getting back to it.

On the personal front another major change has happened.

On the 30th of September I was laid off from my job. First time for everything, but considering how well I do change I haven't been a happy girl for the last couple of weeks. I miss working, I miss my job and with the economy being the way it is I know I may not get back into my job field for many years. You feel so useless and disposable. It's gross.

Only plus side is with my man coming back in a few, I have the time now to pack and really go through the house before the big move.

I would say YAY, but honestly I would rather be working. Being at home BITES!!!

So I have had some game time. I am back to messing around with Age of Conan again. I don't find it as fun as DDO but it keeps me busy and avoiding the packing :)

SO thats it for me... I am off to kill the beasts of Hyboria...

Ohhhh and yes I have checked out the preview of Mod 8 on Risia, but you will have to wait for my segment this weekend to hear what I think :)
