The weather has been rattling outside since a little past midnight. It matches my mood.
The co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, Gary Gygax died yesterday at the age of 69. He is the man behind role playing games as we see them today.
Tributes went out across the gaming world as we all came to terms with his loss.
The DDO front page put up the banner below on the homepage.
Wizard of the Coast has this on their Dungeons and Dragons page.
The Order of the Stick Comic has put out a page honoring Gary as well. You can see it here.
The mood was also dark in DDO last night. The sky darkened further and the portal over the marketplace tent seems to have grown in strength. The tent may actually be sucked into the portal.
There were no devil attacks and the marketplace was filled with people talking about memories of Pen and Paper Dungeons and Dragons, 21 fireball salutes to Gary and groups running the Deleras Tomb series which is the one series Gary Gygax narrated for us in DDO.
I need to play catch up with Bnotorious's videos. The first one is from Day 2. Then last night's, which includes a moment for Gary Gygax.
